Thunderbolt™ 4 Speeds

Featuring 11 ports, 90 watts of power, transfer speeds up to 40 Gb/s and a sleek high-grade design, the Stone Pro TB4 is the ultimate in connectivity. Stone Pro TB4 is compatible and supports dual displays on Apple's new M1 MAX and M1 Pro MacBooks.

NOTE: Make sure you are aware of the display setup your laptop is capable of; docking stations do not allow for greater output than your laptop is capable of. The 2020 MacBook Air & 13-inch MacBook Pro equipped with the Apple M1 chip and the 2022 MacBook Air & 13-inch MacBook Pro equipped with the Apple M2 chip do not support multiple displays. The Stone Pro TB4 can still be used for a dual 4K display at 60Hz, or a single 8K display at 30Hz, with the MacBook models listed, as long as macOS 11.0 or later is running.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The ProDock doesn't feature HDMI or DP ports to allow compatibility with modern displays and to offer additional flexibility by providing more USB 4/Thunderbolt 4 ports.

To connect an HDMI or DP monitor use a compatible USB-C to HDMI or USB-C to DP cable.

  • The Stone Pro TB4 supports up to 2 external displays.

MacBooks equipped with the base M1, M2, and M3 chip only offer support for 1 external display, and because of that, the ProDock will also be limited to 1 display.

  • First and foremost, please ensure the following settings on your MacBook are properly set:

    1. Choose the Apple menu > System Settings.

    2. Click Privacy & Security.

    3. Scroll down and click the pop-up menu next to “Allow accessories to connect,” then change the option to ALWAYS.

    4. The MacBook can't output to an external display in clamshell mode (when the screen is closed) if no mouse and keyboard are connected. Pair them via Bluetooth or connect them to the Stone Pro TB4.

  • Certain non-Apple displays that are connected using a Thunderbolt cable might occasionally fail to communicate a wake signal to your MacBook when connected to a docking station.

In such cases we recommend using a USB-C to HDMI or DP cable to connect your displays.

  • Please ensure the following settings on your MacBook are properly set:

    1. Choose the Apple menu > System Settings.

    2. Click Sound - Output.

    3. Select the option available under “Type” as “USB”.

If you are still experiencing issues, unplug all the cables from your Stone TB4 and shut down or reboot your MacBook. After a minute, reconnect the cables and dock your MacBook.

    1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Network/Network Preferences.

    2. Make sure that the docking station is listed at the top and remove any unused connections

    3. Renew your DHCP and restart your MacBook.

If you are still experiencing issues, unplug all the cables from your Stone TB4 and shut down or reboot your MacBook. After a minute, reconnect the cables and dock your MacBook.

  • Apple Pro Display XDR (6K resolution) and Apple Studio Display (5K resolution) are fully supported by up to 2 displays on MacBook M series.

Support for resolutions higher than 2x 4K@60Hz is only possible with DSC-enabled (display stream compression) displays. Please check with your display manufacturer if your model supports DSC on Apple MacBook.
